Abstract:
Social protection is widely recognised as an important strategy in building resilience by enhancing the capacity of vulnerable households to cope with, respond to and withstand shocks and stresses. Uganda’s practice demonstrates how social protection is used to provide effective income support and build the resilience of poorer and vulnerable households.
