Public Health Ambassadors Uganda International Women’s Day Celebrations
Public Health Ambassadors Uganda wishes to invite your organization to participate in this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations through a health and gender equality themed sports event dubbed “Play Equal, Win Equal.” This year’s celebration event provides an opportunity to bring together different players to share efforts, deliberate solutions and develop commitments towards achieving gender equality. Collective action and shared responsibility is what has and continues to make International Women’s Day impactful therefore it’s against this background that we invite your organization/company to get actively involved.
“Play Equal, Win Equal” is a health and gender equality themed sports event designed in line with this year’s IWD theme #EachforEqual where your organizations has been identified and selected as a key stakeholder in championing gender equality in Uganda. Each organization will organize their teams that will compete in a total of 9 different games. Each of the 9 participating organizations will be given a name derived from the 9 targets of the Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Achieving Gender Equality). Each of the organizations will be required to comply with the recommended gender composition of their team.
