This newsletter sheds light on natural resources management interventions of BORESHA consortium in cross border areas of Mandera –Kenya, Dollow –Somalia and Dollow Ado of Ethiopia. It particularly focuses on building the capacity of the local communities to manage Prosopis plants while deriving economic and livelihoods benefits. It further goes to highlight the appropriate strategy to control/ eradicate Prosopis Juliflora, costs and benefits to communities living with Prosopis, how utilizing Prosopis to make charcoal briquettes can reduce invasion.
