Building resilience through locally available natural resources

The civil war and on-going conflict situations, droughts and ethnic conflicts, have taken their toll on the farming communities in South Sudan. Many house-holds lost their assets and the capacity for food production. With some funding allocated to CHF international, a process focused on building the capacity of the local government and communities to enhance livelihood opportunities for Mundri communities. This brief describes the intervention that aimed to strengthen local government, reduce food insecurity and restore livelihoods in the Western region.
