“FREEDOM FROM FEAR AND FREEDOM FROM WANT” Towards Safe and Sustainable Cross-Border Trade

The Mandera Triangle aims at reducing poverty and improving livelihoods through the Informal Cross Border Trade (ICBT) in agricultural and livestock commodities. However, due to high levels of security in the tri-border areas of the Mandera triangle, ICBT has greatly been affected. Since its inception in 2018, Building Opportunities for Resilience in the Horn of Africa (BORESHA) has actively engaged the border communities and local government authorities in all its components through its mainstreamed participatory approach with an aim of coming up with actions needed to enhance resilience opportunities for cross-border communities with major focus on ICBT.
