Abstract:
The overall objective of this manual is to enhance the capacity of the trade counselors of IGAD MS working in the Embassies of Middle East, Asia and African countries in the areas of livestock and products trade so that they can play a role in strengthening business linkages between the IGAD and Importing regions. The manual describes facts and figures on the livestock resource base of the region, its contribution to national GDP, the volume and value of live animal and meat export from the region and its future opportunities.
