Abstract:
The overall objective of this training manual is to enhance the capacity of the trade counselors of IGAD Member States working in the embassies of Middle East and North African (MENA) countries in the areas of livestock and livestock products trade so that they can play a role in strengthening business linkages between the two regions. The manual gives facts and figures on the livestock resource base of the region, its contribution to national GDP, the volume and value of live animal and meat export from the region and its future opportunities.
