The IDDRSI Strategy

The IGAD Drought Disaster Resilience and Sustainability Initiative (IDDRSI) aims at building the resilience of vulnerable communities to the effects of recurrent droughts and achieving simultaneous growth and sustainable development in the IGAD region. This Programming paper seeks to focus on the underlying causes of the need for humanitarian aid and approach disaster management through pro-active, preventive and structural development oriented solutions through the IDDRSI program.
