Abstract:
Livestock theft is common in Karamoja. It has resulted in the loss of livestock assets and consequently undermined livelihoods. The described practice has enhanced identification, recovery and restitution of stolen animals to the rightful owners, which has contributed to the decline in cattle rustling and preservation of livestock holdings.
