Uganda Country Programming Paper- To End Drought Emergencies In The Horn of Africa

Abstract:
Informed by IDDRSI, Government of Uganda developed this County Programming Paper (CPP) through a consultative process with development partners, non-state actors, local governments and communities in the drylands. IGAD and the Technical Consortium for Building Resilience to Drought in the Horn of Africa supported the process.
The main areas of focus are West Nile, parts of western Uganda and the “cattle corridor”. The CPP builds on existing government policies, strategies and initiatives, and will also serve as a planning, coordination and resource mobilization tool for projects
and investments required to contribute to ending drought emergencies.
